Webhackz

Privacy Policy

Last updated September 12, 2026

Webhackz runs all of its file tools entirely inside your own browser, so the files you work with — your audio, images, and PDFs — are never uploaded to us, sent anywhere, or stored on any server. Like most free sites, though, our pages do show ads (Google AdSense) and use a lightweight analytics tool (Clicky), which collect some visitor data; this policy explains exactly what that means.

About Webhackz and this policy

Effective date: September 12, 2026.

Webhackz (https://webhackz.com) is a small, free suite of six web-based file tools — Audio Cutter, Transcribe, Compress Images, Merge PDF, Split PDF, and Compress PDF. It is run by an individual, not a company, and there are no user accounts, no sign-up, and no login of any kind.

The most important thing to know is this: every tool does its work directly in your browser using standard browser features and WebAssembly. Your files stay on your device the whole time. This document is meant to be honest and easy to read, so you know what does and doesn't happen when you use the site.

This policy is provided for transparency and general information only. It isn't legal advice.

The files you process (we never receive them)

When you cut audio, transcribe speech, compress images, or merge, split, or compress PDFs on Webhackz, the file and its contents are processed entirely inside your own browser. Your files are never uploaded, transmitted, received, logged, or stored on any server. Webhackz does not collect, receive, or store any of the files you work with.

The Transcribe tool works the same way. It uses OpenAI's Whisper speech-to-text model, which your browser downloads and then runs locally on your device. Your audio never leaves your device, and the transcription happens on your own machine.

In short: nothing you feed into the tools ever reaches us. When you close the tab or reload the page, your files and results are gone from the browser too.

Information collected automatically by third parties

While Webhackz doesn't collect your files, the site does load a few third-party services on every page, and those services collect some information about visitors. We want to be upfront about all of them:

Each of these services processes the data it collects under its own privacy policy, and we don't control how they use it. We've named them here, with their identifiers, so you can look up their practices directly. Other than these third-party services, Webhackz doesn't run its own tracking or set its own cookies.

  • Google AdSense (ads). We display ads through Google AdSense (publisher ID ca-pub-8408807979150672). Third parties, including Google, use cookies, device identifiers, and similar technologies to serve and personalize ads and to measure their performance — including serving ads based on your prior visits to Webhackz and to other websites over time. You can read more in Google's "How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services" at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
  • Clicky Analytics (traffic stats). We use Clicky (getclicky.com, site ID 101511655), a privacy-friendly analytics service, to understand our traffic. It collects aggregate visit data such as pages viewed, the site that referred you, your approximate geographic location (derived from your IP address), and your browser and device type.
  • Hosting (Cloudflare Pages). The site is served through Cloudflare Pages. Like any website host, the hosting provider may automatically process standard technical request data — such as your IP address and user agent — in order to deliver the site to you and keep it secure.

Cookies and advertising

Webhackz itself doesn't set any first-party cookies for the tools — the tools don't need them to work. However, cookies and similar identifiers may be set by the third-party services above.

In particular, Google and its partners may use advertising cookies (such as the Google/DoubleClick ad cookie) to serve and personalize ads and measure their performance, including ads based on your prior visits to this and other sites. Third-party vendors and ad networks may also use cookies to serve ads based on your earlier visits. Clicky may also set cookies or identifiers as part of measuring visits.

You're always in control of cookies through your browser settings, and you can turn off personalized advertising using the options in the next section.

Your choices and how to opt out

You have several ways to limit ad personalization and tracking:

Children's privacy

Webhackz is a general-purpose set of file tools and is not directed to children under 13. Webhackz itself doesn't knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the third-party services on this site, please contact us using the email below and we'll help where we can.

Links to other sites

Some pages, including ads, may link to websites we don't operate. We aren't responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites. If you follow a link off Webhackz, it's a good idea to review the privacy policy of wherever you land.

Changes to this policy

If the site changes in a way that affects this policy — for example, if we add or remove a third-party service — we'll update this page and change the date below. We encourage you to check back from time to time.
